IGNOU unveils diverse online courses in agriculture and allied sectors

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has opened doors for applicants interested in a range of online courses across 16 programmes at various academic levels.
The programmes span across diverse durations and academic levels, including certificate courses with a six-month duration, diplomas extending over one year, postgraduate certificates, postgraduate diplomas, and master’s degrees.
These courses cater to emerging fields like Dairy Farming, Organic Farming, Beekeeping, Poultry Production, Sericulture, Agriculture Policy, Agricultural Cost Management, Water and Watershed Management, Dairy Technology, Meat Technology, Value-Added Products from Fruits and Vegetables, Horticulture, Agribusiness, and Food Safety and Quality Management.
The School of Agriculture, a key component among the 21 schools at IGNOU, is tasked with developing employable skills in various stakeholders, including farmers, rural youths, technicians, and farm women.
The focus is on enhancing livelihoods through Open and Distance Learning in agriculture and allied sectors. The university is actively seeking applications for these online courses to fulfill this mandate.
