The Apeejay School, Sector 15 Faridabad celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour and pride. The theme of the day was Freedom is not just a right we inherit, but a responsibility we uphold.
The national flag was unfurled by the Principal of the Apeejay School, and Capt Praveen Roy, in a ceremony marked by solemnity and national pride. The occasion was graced by the presence of the academic coordinator, staff members, students, and NCC cadets. All the people gathered together to honour the historic significance of the day.
The ceremony resonated with the singing of the national anthem, filling the atmosphere with a deep sense of unity and pride. It was followed by a series of patriotic songs that further amplified the spirit of the celebration. The celebrations reminded everyone of the sacrifices made by freedom fighters in securing the nation’s independence.
The presence of NCC cadets added a sense of discipline and national duty to the occasion reflecting the values of service and responsibility. Their participation served as a reminder that freedom, once won, must be continuously protected and nurtured through active citizenship and civic responsibility.
Throughout the ceremony, students and staff alike reflected on the deeper meaning of independence. The deeper meaning which students understood was to uphold the values of democracy, unity, and responsibility. The event served as a platform to instill in young students a sense of pride in their national identity. With the celebrations, students understood the duties that come with being a citizen of a free nation.
