As part of the 80th Independence Day celebrations, Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, organised a vibrant Fancy Dress activity for students of the Pre-primary and Primary Wings. The event aimed to nurture patriotism, creativity, confidence, communication skills, and awareness of national values among young learners.
The activity featured distinctive themes for different classes, providing students with an opportunity to express themselves creatively while learning important lessons. Nursery students amazed everyone with innovative robotic costumes, reflecting imagination and futuristic thinking.


LKG students paid tribute to India’s brave Freedom Fighters by portraying legendary heroes who made sacrifices for the nation’s independence. UKG students came dressed as Community Helpers, highlighting the valuable contributions of individuals who serve society with dedication and selflessness.
Class I students beautifully represented various national symbols of India, showcasing their pride in the country’s rich heritage.
Class II students presented creative costumes under the theme Best Out of Waste, conveying an important message about environmental conservation, recycling, and sustainable living.
Adding to the charm of the event, each participant confidently spoke two to four lines about the character or theme portrayed. Their clear pronunciation, expressive delivery, and enthusiastic stage presence made the activity both informative and entertaining. The performances helped students develop public speaking skills, self-confidence, creativity, and a deeper understanding of their roles as responsible citizens.


The judges appreciated the sincere efforts of the students, teachers, and parents in preparing meaningful and attractive costumes. The Best Performer Awards were presented to Dhurvi from nursery, Yogansh from LKG, Riva from UKG, Shanaira from Class I, and Aadya from Class II. The winners were applauded for their creativity, confidence, and impressive stage presentations.
The school Principal, Dr Vineet Vasishtha, said, ”The Fancy Dress Activity beautifully reflected the creativity, confidence, and patriotic spirit of our young learners. Every child performed with enthusiasm and conveyed meaningful messages through their costumes and presentations. Such activities nurture communication skills, imagination, environmental awareness, and respect for our national heritage. I congratulate all the participants, winners, teachers, and parents for making this celebration truly memorable. Let us continue inspiring our children to become confident, compassionate, and responsible citizens of our great nation.”



The event concluded amid cheerful smiles, enthusiastic applause, and a strong spirit of patriotism, setting a memorable tone for the school’s Independence Day celebrations.
