Encouraging young minds to discover the joy of reading

Apeejay School Saket reinforces the value of making books a regular part of learning

Reading is a habit that stays with children long after they finish a book. It introduces them to new ideas, helps them understand different perspectives and encourages them to explore beyond what they already know. Recognising the importance of this habit, Apeejay School, Saket, celebrated the efforts of its young readers through the presentation of Active Reading Certificates.

Recognising a love for books

During the morning assembly, students from Classes VI to XII were felicitated with Active Reading Certificates for the months of April and July. The recognition acknowledged their enthusiasm for books and their consistent reading habits.

The initiative placed emphasis on the importance of reading regularly. It also recognised the effort students put into developing an interest in books and continuing with that interest over time.

For children, reading can be an opportunity to discover something new with every page. A story can introduce unfamiliar situations, offer a different way of looking at things or simply encourage a child to think beyond everyday experiences.

The certificates were a way of appreciating students who had shown an interest in reading. At the same time, the recognition served as encouragement to continue exploring books and discovering the pleasure of reading.

Encouraging reading beyond recognition

What makes reading meaningful is that the learning does not end with the last page. Every book offers something to think about, whether it is a new idea, a different perspective or a story that stays with the reader.

By acknowledging the reading habits of students across Classes VI to XII, the school reinforced the value of making books a regular part of learning.

As students continue exploring the world of books, the message remains simple. Every page brings an opportunity to learn, every story opens another perspective, and every book encourages them to keep reading and growing.
