Apeejay School, Kharghar nurtures patriotism via a special assembly
This event reminded students of the immense sacrifices made by the freedom fighters
To mark the 80th Independence Day, Apeejay School, Kharghar, held a special thematic assembly for students. Themed “Patriotism, Sacrifice and the Spirit of Freedom”, this assembly aimed to nurture a deep sense of patriotism, gratitude and responsibility among students.
The special event reminded students of the immense sacrifices made by the freedom fighters, who devoted their lives to the nation. The programme began with shloka chanting, creating an atmosphere of peace, discipline and reverence.
This was followed by a powerful skit depicting the struggles, courage and sacrifices of the freedom fighters. Through impactful performances, the Apeejay students highlighted the values of courage, unity, determination and love for the motherland.
Adding colour and diversity to the celebration, students presented poems in Hindi, English and Marathi, expressing their love for the nation and paying tribute to the heroes who fought for India’s freedom.
The multilingual presentations reflected India’s rich cultural heritage and reinforced the spirit of “Unity in Diversity.” The assembly served as a meaningful reminder that freedom comes with responsibility.
The event made students realize that the values for which our freedom fighters stood must continue to inspire every generation. The programme left students with a renewed sense of pride in the nation and a deeper appreciation for the freedom we cherish today.
