The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened the online window for Class 10 students seeking verification of marks and re-evaluation of their answer books for the 2026 board exams. The facility is available for students who appeared for both the main and second Board exams.
Students who have already received their scanned answer books can now apply for verification of marks or re-evaluation. The last date to submit applications is August 19, 2026. Before opting for re-evaluation, candidates are advised to carefully examine their scanned answer books and compare their responses with the question paper and official marking scheme.
How to apply for CBSE Class 10 re-evaluation in 2026?
Students can apply online by following these steps:
CBSE Class 10 re-evaluation and verification fees
CBSE has prescribed a fee of ₹100 for re-evaluation and ₹300 for verification of marks. Students who appeared for the same subject in both the main and second Board exams can seek verification or re-evaluation for an individual answer book.
Verification of marks involves checking whether marks have been awarded to all attempted questions, the marks have been correctly totalled and the total displayed on the answer book’s front page is accurate.
Re-evaluation, on the other hand, involves a detailed rechecking of the specified responses. Students should note that following the process, their marks may increase, decrease or remain unchanged. Therefore, candidates should review their scanned answer books carefully before submitting a request.
