‘I feel really happy and grateful to receive the placement offer’

Reet Chaudhary, a Bachelor of Pharmacy graduate from Apeejay Stya University (ASU),Gurugram, reflects on a transformative four-year journey that equipped her with strong pharmaceutical knowledge, practical skills, and professional confidence. Through academic projects, laboratory training, seminars, and presentations, she developed the expertise needed to excel in the healthcare sector. Recently placed as a Therapy Business Manager at Abbott Healthcare, Reet shares how faculty mentorship, consistent preparation, and self-belief helped her achieve this milestone while outlining her aspirations for a leadership career in the pharmaceutical industry. How do you feel about receiving the placement offer? What position have you been offered?

I feel really happy and grateful to receive the placement offer. It is a proud moment for me because it reflects the hard work I put in during my graduation. I have been offered the position of Therapy Business Manager at Abbott Healthcare, where I will be working in pharmaceutical sales and healthcare management.

How did you prepare for your placements?

I prepared by revising my pharmacy basics, practicing interview questions, and learning about the companies before every interview. I would especially like to thank the Head of the Corporate Resource Centre and our Department Coordinator for their constant support and guidance throughout my interview journey. Their trust, encouragement, and motivation really boosted my confidence and helped me perform better in my interviews.

How did your teachers at Apeejay help you during the placement process?

Our faculty members were very supportive throughout the placement process. They guided us with resume building, interview preparation, aptitude guidance, and communication skills. Their encouragement and valuable feedback helped me stay confident during interviews.

Tips to crack job interview

I believe communication is the key to cracking any interview. Along with that, be confident, revise your basics, research the company and the role beforehand, and always be honest in your answers. Most importantly, believe in yourself, because confidence and a positive attitude can make a lasting impression.

Your future aspirations

My future aspiration is to build a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry by gaining practical experience and continuously learning. In the coming years, I also plan to pursue an MBA to strengthen my management and leadership skills. My long-term goal is to take on leadership responsibilities and contribute meaningfully to the healthcare industry.
