Threads of Friendship

Published

on

Friendship isn’t made of gold,

Or stories waiting to be told.

It’s hidden in a helping hand,

A smile that says, “I understand.”

It’s sharing lunch when someone’s sad,

Cheering loudly when they’re glad.

It’s standing strong through joy and tears,

Growing brighter through the years.

A true friend never counts mistakes,

Or measures all the give and takes.

They lift you up when hope feels small,

And stay beside you through it all.

Like stars that shine though far apart,

True friends live inside the heart.

They teach us love, they help us grow,

In quiet ways we rarely know.

So on this Friendship Day, let’s choose

Kind words that no one wants to lose.

For every act of love we share

Makes the world more bright and fair.

Friendship is the sweetest art—

A rainbow painted in the heart.
