A businessman dealing with mobile handsets, Mr Anuj Aggarwal re-located from Gurugram to Delhi post Covid-19. His health and business were some reasons for the switch. Once settled in Delhi, he logically decided to change his daughter Reha’s school too. After some research, he finalised Apeejay School International (ASI) – South Delhi for her. Currently, Reha is studying in the Diploma Programme (DP) – I programme.
He says he always gives her daughter one piece of advice, “Do well enough to make a successful career.” Read on, as he shares more in the following interview. Edited excerpts from the conversation.
How did you zero down on ASI?
As I began to look up some options online, Apeejay came on top. I thought I must check it out.
Why did you pick an IB Board for Reha?
Reha began her educational journey as part of a CBSE school in India. But after class 2, our family shifted to Hong Kong. Then, she picked the Board of the country. After that, we returned to India and realised Reha had difficulty picking up the Hindi language. And, in most CBSE schools, it was a prerequisite. So, I decided to go for the IB Board. However, before enrolling her at Apeejay, I was already aware about how the IB curriculum works. So, she enrolled in mid- 2022 in the school and the transition was quite smooth for her.
Is she doing well at Apeejay?
Yes. I will say that she is thriving. At ASI, she is getting a lot of personal attention from her teachers. Moreover, she is quite comfortable with them. She can even reach them at any time. Besides, Reha is doing much more now. Be it research, ideation, projects or PPTs, she knows a lot! The educators are focusing on every aspect of her development, no matter how big or small. I am convinced that they are doing their best for my daughter.

How is Reha at home?
She is an only child. She usually keeps herself busy with school work as she is quite passionate about it. In addition to that, she likes to spend time with her mother.
The last event you attended in the school? How was the experience?
I was part of the TOK (Theory of Knowledge) exhibition held at ASI. As part of it, Reha curated many projects. I saw her work hard for it and was happy to see that she received the due appreciation.
Her ambition?
She wants to pursue Arts as a field and I support her decision. I am certain that she will do well in it.
