The American author, Robert Collier once said, ‘Success is a sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.’ Diploma Programme (DP) students of Apeejay School International – South Delhi (ASI) have proved it right by delivering an astounding success at the International Baccalaureate (IB) results.

As the first batch of the school, students graduated with flying colours with a success rate of 100 percent. Students stood tall as 25% of them bagged 3/3 Perfect Bonus Points. The school’s average was 31.5 IB Points. A high score of 33 was attained by students Prisha Jain and Lavanya Sharma. In addition to this, 25% students scored A’s in Extended Essay and 50% of them received B’s in Theory of Knowledge (TOK).

Speaking about this achievement, Prisha said, “A few months before the examinations, the school gave us a set schedule. We had block periods for 1.5 hours dedicated to a single subject. Those were very helpful in solving our queries. I am also grateful to my teachers for being there for me at all times. At home, I ensured to revise my lessons regularly and included meditation and yoga in my day. My favourite was Psychology and that is what I would like to pursue as a profession. Post-school, I have received acceptance from 3 universities, so I will choose.”

Lavanya Sharma, who will pursue an undergraduate course in Fine Arts at the University Of Southampton, England, wants to be a part of the creative and graphic field in future. For her, Computer Science as a subject turned out to be the most challenging in the examinations, but she was able to overcome it with the help of her teachers. “At school, we finished our syllabus early and had a good amount of time for International Assessments (IA) and revision. My teachers were always available to clear my doubts and were approachable even during the Covid-19 pandemic. To de-stress myself before the papers, I often used to sit with my parents who advised me to give my best shot at it. I am now looking forward to studying abroad and beginning my college journey.”

Congratulating students for their big achievement, Ms. Neha Sharma, IB Diploma Programme Coordinator at the school says, “Our students have worked hard and have not left any stone unturned to achieve this success. Their consistent performance, dedication and ability to meet deadlines is highly commendable.”

“The first DP batch of ASI has done well in the IBDP Board examinations. This batch had a tough time meeting all internal assessment and other compliances during the Covid-19 enforced lockdown. Despite all odds, the students showed enormous resilience in coping with challenges to come out victorious. Congratulations to the parents and teachers for all their hard work. This wouldn’t have been possible without our collective efforts!”
