Summer camps play a vital role in a child’s holistic development by providing opportunities to learn beyond the classroom. They encourage students to explore new interests, develop life skills, build confidence, and engage in meaningful experiences in a fun and supportive environment. Keeping this objective in mind, the summer camp for students of Bal Vatika-1 to Class V at Apeejay School, Noida, was organised in the school campus.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from 38 students who engaged in a variety of activities, including Skating, Badminton, Football, Speech & Drama, Public Speaking, and Art & Craft. Designed to make the summer break both productive and enjoyable, the camp focused on nurturing creativity, communication skills, teamwork, confidence, and physical fitness through experiential learning.

To ensure quality learning and skill development, professional coaches were engaged to conduct specialised sessions. They were supported by in-house teachers who provided guidance, supervision, and a comfortable learning environment for all participants. The camp commenced with introductory and ice-breaking activities that helped students interact with their instructors and peers while settling into their chosen activities.
The skating sessions, conducted by Mr Arpit under the supervision of Ms Sulagna, focused on developing balance, coordination, and physical fitness. Students learnt basic skating techniques, posture control, and movement skills through engaging drills and fun activities.

The badminton sessions, led by Mr Arpit and supervised by Ms Rajani, introduced students to racquet handling, serves, and basic strokes. Through footwork exercises and friendly matches, students enhanced their agility, concentration, and hand-eye coordination while learning the values of discipline and sportsmanship.
Football sessions, conducted by Mr Arpit under the supervision of Ms Bindu, provided students with opportunities to practise dribbling, passing, and shooting skills. Team games and drills promoted stamina, coordination, communication, and teamwork.

The Speech & Drama sessions, conducted by Mr Shivam and supervised by Mr Pawan, encouraged students to express themselves confidently through storytelling, role-play, voice modulation, and enactments. The Public Speaking sessions further strengthened communication skills through interactive activities, discussions, and presentations that emphasised clear articulation, eye contact, and body language.
Students also explored their artistic talents during the Art & Craft sessions conducted by Ms Isha under the supervision of Ms Somali. Through drawing, painting, and creative craftwork, participants enhanced their imagination, fine motor skills, and artistic expression.

The Summer Camp 2026 concluded on a joyful and successful note, leaving students enriched with new skills, memorable experiences, and greater self-confidence. The camp served as a wonderful platform for young learners to discover their potential, build meaningful friendships, and enjoy a rewarding blend of learning and recreation.
