The National Testing Agency has released the city intimation slip for the NEET UG 2026 re-exam, giving candidates information about the city allotted to them for the June 21, 2026, test. The slip is available on the official NEET portal, where registered candidates can log in using their application number and password.

The re-exam will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode from 2 pm to 5.15 pm. The exam is scheduled across 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad. Candidates have been advised to check their city allotment and keep visiting the official website for further updates.

The agency has clarified that the city intimation slip is not the admit card. It only informs candidates about the city where their exam centre will be located. The admit card will be issued separately before the exam and will be required for entry at the centre, along with a valid photo identity proof.

Alongside the release of the slip, authorities have stepped up security arrangements for the re-exam. According to reports, paper setters, moderators, translators, and other personnel connected with confidential question paperwork have been moved to a secure, undisclosed facility. They will remain under lockdown until the exam concludes.

The security protocol reportedly restricts mobile phones, laptops, smartwatches, internet access and outside communication. Movement at the facility is being monitored, with access limited to authorised personnel.

Officials are also keeping watch over social media platforms, messaging groups and online forums after claims about fake question paper leaks surfaced. The NTA has rejected such claims and warned candidates against falling for misinformation.

The re-exam has placed focus on exam security and public confidence in the testing process. For lakhs of medical aspirants, the June 21, 2026, test will be closely watched, both for its conduct and its credibility.
