How has your experience with the online classes at school been?

Personally, I feel that I can be much more productive in an offline mode at school. I am able to meet my assignment deadlines better and plan out my schedule well since February. In the online classes, the teaching process went smoothly but I missed being around my peers and teachers. One of my favourite subjects, Visual Arts, which requires practical skills and application, has become easier to learn now, and I aspire to make a career out of this field.

What has been the most crucial aspect of the back-to-school experience?

I am able to create deeper bonds with my friends at school after such a long gap. Also, interacting with the faculty at Apeejay School, International is great.

What is up next for you?

I will soon be completing my schooling in May this year. After that, I wish to enroll in a Fine Arts course in universities in the United Kingdom.

What artists do you look up to?

I am inspired by the Impressionism technique of the famous Dutch painter in Western art history, Vincent Van Gogh. The techniques of Katsushika Hokusai, Japanese artist, ukiyo-e painter and printmaker of the Edo period, are breath-taking. Amongst Indian painters, M. F. Husain’s work is exceptional.

Please give us a sneak peek into your art.

My paintings revolve around my identity. Over the past few years, my battles, struggles, successes find space in my work.
