Young Talent: ‘I no longer fear any subject owing to my teachers’

If you are an avid reader, all the difficult roadblocks in life sorts out and a new path opens up, opines Aanya Mahajan who studies at Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg and recently got promoted to class VI with flying colours. “I read all my text books thoroughly and practice my subjects daily. Since I love reading I always go back to references to learn more about a concept. I am always curious to know more about things,” exclaimed Aanya.

So what are your favourite subjects? “Math, Science and SST are my favourite subjects though not necessarily in that order. I love practical-based knowledge that can be applied in real life, hence I am in absolute awe of Science and its projects. There is so much to learn and explore in that realm of awareness,” expressed Aanya.

“YouTube is my go to place to gather maximum knowledge about anything and everything. I also love to perform Science experiments and figure out novel results. Deeba Duggal ma’am, who teaches Math, is my favourite,” she added.

Speaking about her favourite movie, Aanya is quick to respond that Harry Potter series beats everything else around. “I love to watch Just Add Magic and other similar sci-fi shows on TV. Apart from that Enid Blyton’s Secret Seven and Famous Five are my soul food,” added the 11-year-old.

Aanya also shares that her father teaches her Hindi, Sanskrit and Computers at home. “I want to become a robotics engineer when I grow up. These AI-driven machines really fascinate me and this is why I have joined the robotics club at school. I also enjoy playing badminton, basketball and table tennis for recreation,” concluded the class VI student.
