What was your initial reaction when you received the offer?
When I received the offer from Adfactors PR, I felt extremely happy and relieved. It was a very fulfilling moment, as it reflected the effort and consistency I had maintained throughout my academic and internship journey.
Can you walk us through your preparation journey and the key steps that helped you secure this opportunity?
My preparation journey was focused on building both conceptual clarity and practical exposure. I started by strengthening my understanding of PR fundamentals such as media outreach, press releases, and brand communication.
I made it a habit to follow the news regularly and stay updated with industry trends, which helped me form informed opinions. Alongside this, I worked on improving my communication skills, especially writing and articulation.
Mock interviews and continuous feedback from faculty members played a crucial role in my preparation. My internship experiences also helped me understand the practical side of PR, making it easier to answer situational and application-based questions during the interview.
How did Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication support you during the placement process, especially in terms of training, internships, or mentorship?
Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication played a significant role in my placement journey. The faculty members were extremely supportive and guided me at every step, from building my fundamentals to preparing for interviews.
The institute provided valuable internship opportunities that gave me hands-on experience and industry exposure. Regular mentorship sessions, mock interviews, and constructive feedback helped me improve continuously.
What stood out the most was the constant encouragement from the faculty, which helped me stay confident and motivated throughout the placement process.
What skills or qualities do you think played the most important role in helping you get selected for Adfactors PR?
I believe strong communication skills, clarity of thought, and adaptability were key factors in my selection. Being able to present ideas in a structured and confident manner was very important during the interview.
Along with that, staying updated with current affairs and having a good understanding of the PR industry helped me approach questions more effectively. My ability to learn quickly, handle feedback positively, and apply my internship experience to real-world scenarios also contributed significantly.
Why did you choose public relations as a career?
I chose public relations as a career because it brings together creativity, strategy, and real-time communication. I have always been interested in how brands shape their image and connect with audiences. PR gives me the opportunity to work at that intersection of media, storytelling, and reputation management.
