India Week at Apeejay School, Sector 15, Faridabad, brought together two thoughtful expressions of pride in India. Students from the Foundational Wing and Class IV took part in activities that reflected the country’s heritage, values, and diversity. Through yoga and personal reflections on India, the students expressed what the nation means to them.

Young yogis celebrate an ancient tradition

The little stars of the Foundational Wing took part in a yoga demonstration as part of the celebrations. With every stretch and breath, the young participants drew attention to the ancient roots of yoga and its origin in India.

Their presentation placed yoga within the larger idea of cultural heritage. The children showed how a tradition that began in India continues to be practised and remembered by younger generations. Their participation also reflected the spirit of India Week, where familiar traditions became a way of understanding and celebrating the country.

Class IV students speak about their love for India

Students of Class IV shared the reasons behind their love for India. Their thoughts moved across different parts of the country and different aspects of national life. They spoke about the Himalayas and the oceans, India’s rich culture, and the courage of its soldiers.

The students also highlighted unity, diversity, freedom, and the values they learn every day. These ideas formed the heart of their reflections and gave the presentation a personal touch. Their words showed how children can connect national pride with the qualities and values they see around them.

Together, the two presentations brought different expressions of India Week into one space. The Foundational Wing looked at heritage through yoga, while Class IV students reflected on the country through its landscape, culture, people, and values.

The activities ended on a note of pride and responsibility.
