Apeejay School was our first and final choice: Muskan Saini

Muskan Saini (38), former manager with HDFC Bank, quit her job to take care of her children Aarish Saini (10) and Mishti Saini (6). Both her children are studying at Apeejay School, Model Town, Jalandhar. Recently, she began giving online training to HDFC employees and is also handling accounts in her husband’s business. Gagandeep Saini trades in agricultural pumps, solar pumps, pipes etc. As a mother, she maintains a sharp focus on her children’s education and co-curricular activities.

What made you choose Apeejay over other schools?

We had a very long relationship with Apeejay. My husband is an alumnus of Apeejay. Most of my relatives are Apeejay alumni. All of them are doing well in their respective careers. So, it was not at all a tough decision for us to choose Apeejay for our children’s education. We are proud of the fact that Apeejay has maintained its reputation and has grown better with time.

Please tell us a little more about your children?

Aarish is studying in Class 5. He is a confident boy. Whether it is in school or outside the institute, he wins almost all the competitions. Recently he got conferred with the Balratan Award based on his activities. He is very good at poetry. His teachers call Aarish a very disciplined and an obedient child.

Mishti is in Class 1. She is good at drawing and has won many prizes in art and craft. She is a little mischievous maybe because of her young age, but she is obedient as well.

How do you view the progress made by your children after their admission at Apeejay?

My son has improved a lot. We have seen so many changes in him. Apeejay gives a lot of opportunities in the form of curricular activities that have helped him gain confidence. Both of my kids don’t have stage fear. They can perform and give their 100% even if any activity is impromptu.  Mishti is following the footsteps of her brother.

How would you rate the teachers at Apeejay?

The teachers here are phenomenal. They are well-experienced and give individual attention to the students. I don’t have to ask for anything, as the teachers are taking great care of my children. They have been grooming them since an early age. Teachers have given their 200% in the online classes. Hats-off to their efforts!

Value-based education is the motto of Apeejay. How has it helped your children?

Both my kids have become humble. They respect everyone. They take care of elders and give them special attention.

Do you think along with academics, holistic development is also important?

Yes, it is the need of an hour. Academics is incomplete without holistic development. Apeejay has been consistent in paying equal importance to education, curricular activities and imbibing values. As a parent, we are really satisfied with the school. We are looking forward to a better future for our kids.
