It is never about gaining brilliance overnight. Rather, hard work, perseverance, and constant effort to grow every day make a person an academic achiever. In this insightful interaction, Ahaana Katharya of Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, shares the secrets that have helped her gain the desired academic achievement.

What inspired you to aim for such high academic performance this year?

Primarily, the hunger to earn the 6-star scholar badge. I would be receiving the 3-star one this year. Also, the desire to achieve my future career goals and of course, I get personal satisfaction.

Did you set specific goals for yourself before the exams began?

Yes, to achieve at least 92-95% in all subjects & top in my Class. Also, to complete my syllabus a couple of weeks before exams, so that I have adequate time for revision, and I can focus on my weak points.

How did you stay motivated on days when studying felt difficult or exhausting?

On such days, I studied subjects in which I had a clear understanding of their topics, which made me feel relaxed and confident. Also, I love watching TV & reading other books, so I took such regular breaks to keep myself motivated & destressed.

What subject did you enjoy the most, and how did that passion help your performance?

French is what I enjoy the most. I secured almost 100% in that, which helped in increasing my overall percentage.

How did Apeejay School, Panchsheel Paark, and your teachers contribute to your academic growth and confidence?

School provided me with many opportunities, like MUN conferences & clubs, which helped improve my public speaking skills. It also provides access to the library & laboratories where information & practicals go hand in hand. My teachers are not only effective educators, but they also provide valuable constructive feedback in PTMs & offer emotional support, boosting our motivation & critical thinking.

If you had to choose one study habit that made the biggest difference, what would it be?

Discipline to study regularly, even on non- exam days & leaving adequate time for revision.
