This Jalandhar Institute celebrates Teacher’s Day with great enthusiasm
Students honour the contribution of the faculty in shaping students’ academic and personal journeys.
The Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC) marked Teacher’s Day with a celebration blending tribute, recognition, and lighthearted festivity. Marking the day, students honored the contribution of its faculty in shaping students’ academic and personal journeys.
The event opened with an address by Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director of AIMETC, who conveyed Teacher’s Day greetings on behalf of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education. In her message, she described teaching as a force that ‘inspires, empowers and shapes young minds, leaving a lasting impact on generations.’
She said it is the unwavering commitment and perseverance of teachers that strengthens an institution and helps it grow from one milestone to the next. She extended wishes for continued fulfilment in what she called the ‘noble journey of nurturing young minds.’
Dr. Bagga, in his remarks, echoed the sentiment, calling teaching ‘not merely a profession but a responsibility that leaves a lasting impact on generations.’ He commended the faculty for fostering an academic environment that encourages learning, innovation, confidence, and holistic student development.
Beyond the formal addresses, the celebration took on a distinctly festive character. Faculty members took part in a series of games and interactive activities designed to encourage camaraderie outside their usual academic responsibilities. A rapid fire round proved a highlight, with teachers showcasing their wit and spontaneity in an exchange that kept the atmosphere light and engaging.
A standout feature of the day was the presentation of playful, student-voted titles to faculty members. It was based on a survey capturing students’ perspectives on their teachers. Honours included ‘Master of Motivation’ ‘Faculty Fashionista,’ ‘The Students’ Favourite,’ ‘Guiding Light,’ ‘Mr. Perfectionist,’ ‘Coolest Faculty,’ and ‘Forever Young,’ among others — giving students a creative outlet to acknowledge the individual qualities of educators who had left an impression on them.
The celebrations concluded with a faculty lunch, offering an informal setting for colleagues to unwind and connect.
Taken together, the day’s events reflected an ethos the institute has sought to build around its faculty — one of appreciation paired with genuine camaraderie — underscoring that Teachers’ Day at AIMETC was designed to honour not just professional contribution, but also the mentorship and guidance teachers extend to students throughout their academic journey.
