The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to announce the revised exam date for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) September 2026 session soon. The exam, which was earlier scheduled for September 6, 2026, has been postponed, and candidates are now awaiting the fresh schedule.
CBSE has not released any official notification confirming the new CTET 2026 examination date. Candidates who are preparing to appear for the September session are advised to regularly monitor the official CTET website for the latest updates regarding the exam schedule, city intimation and admit card.
CTET 2026 application window reopened
The development follows CBSE’s decision to reopen the CTET September 2026 application window for candidates who could not submit their applications during the original registration period. The reopened registration process commenced on August 25, and the deadline was subsequently extended until September 1, 2026.
Candidates who had already completed their CTET 2026 application during the initial registration period were not required to apply again.
Revised CTET exam date is awaited
With the September 6 examination postponed, candidates are now waiting for CBSE to announce the revised date. Reports suggest that the new examination schedule may be released after the reopened application process is completed. However, the board has not confirmed any specific date so far.
Once the revised CTET 2026 schedule is announced, CBSE is expected to provide further details related to exam cities, admit cards and other exam-day arrangements.
Candidates who have successfully registered for the September 2026 session will be eligible to appear for the exam as per the revised schedule. They should rely solely on official CBSE notifications for confirmed information and avoid following unverified updates circulating online.
