A mother reflects on the role of a familiar school environment in shaping her son’s confidence

Her child has been part of Apeejay School, Tanda Road, since nursery, so the school environment has always felt familiar to him. “Because of that, he adjusted very comfortably, both academically and socially. He understands the classroom routine well and participates without hesitation.

Socially too, he has been able to make friends easily, and he enjoys interacting with his classmates. This sense of comfort has helped him grow with confidence,” Baljit Jassal, mother of Anoop Ahir, now in Class VI, shared.

Read what this mother had to say about her son’s being here since joining this school.

How approachable are the teachers when you have concerns or questions?

The teachers are very approachable and supportive. Whenever I have had any concerns or questions, they have listened carefully and provided proper guidance. They make an effort to explain things clearly and help resolve any issues.

What changes have you noticed in your child since joining school?

Since joining the school, I have noticed a clear improvement. He has become more disciplined in his studies and shows interest in learning new things. At the same time, his involvement in co-curricular activities has increased.

If you had to point out one strength, what would it be?

One of the biggest strengths of the school is its teachers. They are skilled and dedicated, and they guide the students in a very supportive way. I am reassured knowing that my child is learning under capable teachers.

How well does the school balance studies with activities outside the classroom?

The school maintains a good balance between academics and activities. Along with regular studies, they celebrate different festivals and organise activities that keep students engaged. These experiences help children learn beyond the classroom and make school life more enjoyable.

What is the school’s approach to guiding students on behaviour and values?

The school gives importance to values and behaviour through its structured value education classes. These sessions help students understand the importance of respect, discipline, and good conduct.
