How did you get selected for the conference?
The Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations conducted a rigorous two-stage selection process with applications from over 70 countries and an admission rate of 2%. I was selected on the basis of my experience with youth led forums, global awareness, and academic accomplishments. The selection committee at Harvard laid down comprehensive questionnaires to test the calibre of each candidate.
What was the topic of the presentation?

The conference was based on Asia’s role in international relations in the current political and economic climate. During the course of the conference, we also discussed the role of media, diplomacy, and activism in bringing about change and development.
How do such experiences add skills?
Experiences as such are invaluable in the growth of not only a person’s personal career trajectory but also the communities that benefit from the work of these candidates. In my experience, I gained a plethora of exposure through interactions with esteemed dignitaries and speakers, including ambassadors, scholars, social activists, business leaders etc. It helps an individual to approach global issues from a holistic perspective and gain insight on dialogue and diplomacy.
How did Apeejay faculty help you prepare for this conference?
The faculty at Apeejay has always been deeply supportive and encouraging towards all of my extra curricular activities. Apeejay has repeatedly provided me with a platform to enhance my public speaking, debating, and writing skills for which I’m extremely grateful.
What is your next goal?
I aim to use my learnings for the betterment of my community while also focusing on my personal and professional growth. I’m currently working on a research project and have a couple of other projects lined up, including another international conference in Vietnam.
