Navigating life’s seas through the ship of friendship

“Friendship,” which consists of two words, ‘Friend’ and ‘ship,’ signifies that individuals in this beautiful relationship must navigate all hardships and the journey of life, akin to a ship overcoming obstacles to reach its destination through vast seas.

Friendship is a profound connection that individuals can establish with one another, as it allows us to select our own family. I am fortunate to have found that special person with whom I can embrace this beautiful relationship called ‘FRIENDSHIP.’ Some of you may have already guessed it – yes, it’s ‘Switakshi’

I met Switakshi during my college days, in our class. I never could have envisioned that we would become such close and genuine friends. According to her, “Our vibes matched,” and intriguingly, it all began during a class activity known as “Chinese Whisper.”

Since that day, we have shared countless moments of laughter, weathered sorrows together, indulged in gossip (mainly), and much more. Frankly, when I first saw her in class, I had decided not to engage in much conversation. However, as the saying goes, “Never judge a book by its cover.” Consequently, we now talk to each other every day, even when we are interning at different places. This exemplifies that distance holds no significance when your bond is robust and built on trust.

I want to express my gratitude to her for always being there for me. I hope you (Switakshi) achieve your goal of becoming a CA soon so that I can proudly say, “CA Switakshi is my best friend,” and indeed, my soul sister, as you often mention.

A song that embodies our journey (Alexa, play): “Sath hum jo chale, ban gye kaafilein, aur koi humein ab mile, na mile, mauj hain roz hain, roke se bhi na ye, rukte kabhi silsile.”

This Friendship Day, I promise to stand by you, regardless of the circumstances. You are the finest person I have ever met, and as is often said, we may not be childhood friends or have known each other for years, but fate united us at a time when we needed each other the most.
