My unforgettable experience in Singapore

The day had finally arrived after two long months of anticipation and extensive planning by Ms. Jyoti Ma’am. It was the day we were finally going to Singapore! We all gathered at our school, took some photos, and then boarded our school bus with our senior coordinator, Mrs. Shakuntala Singh Ma’am, to head to the airport. Our tour manager, Ms. Aleafia Ma’am, joined us upon reaching the airport. After a long queue at the check-in counter, we had dinner together at the airport. Later, we went through immigration and finally, after a long wait, boarded our flight at 12:30 a.m. We were served a delicious meal on the flight, and our excitement about the upcoming activities in Singapore kept us awake throughout the night. After a six-hour journey, we finally arrived in Singapore.

At the airport, we met our tour guide and the students from Apeejay School, Jalandhar. We freshened up and then set off for the Singapore City tour. We visited various landmarks such as the Merlion Statue, The Sky Park Hotel, the Grand Prix Race Track, and a Chinese Temple. After enjoying a delicious lunch, we checked into our hotel and got ready for the night safari. The performances by the animals and the night safari experience under the starry sky were truly astounding! We returned to the hotel after a filling dinner and slept soundly.

The next morning, after breakfast, we visited the New Water Plant, where we learned about their innovative solutions to the water crisis and how they effectively managed flood and drought situations in Singapore. We then went to the Science Center, where we watched a movie about fungi and explored various optical illusions. We even successfully navigated a mirror maze. The Singapore Flyer was our next stop, offering breathtaking views of the city from its heights. Later, we visited Gardens by the Bay, where we marveled at the impressive Avatar sculptures and enjoyed a spectacular light show in the evening.

The following day was the most thrilling and enjoyable day of the trip as we visited Universal Studios. Just arriving at the park filled us with excitement. We received food coupons and eagerly embarked on the thrilling rides. We also had some time for souvenir shopping at Vivo City Mall. The dinner that evening was a culinary delight!

On the last day of our trip, we first visited the South East Asia (S.E.A) Aquarium, one of the largest in the world, where we learned about various species of fish and other aquatic animals. We then visited the Wax Museum, where we had the opportunity to see wax figures of famous Singaporean leaders, singers, and actors. The cable car ride that followed provided us with breathtaking views. To end the day on a peaceful note, we visited Palawan Beach in the evening and had a lot of fun. The dinner was equally tranquil. However, it was bittersweet as we realised our time in Singapore was coming to an end.

Afterward, we had to pack our suitcases as we were leaving for India the next day. The following morning, we woke up at 5 a.m. and had breakfast at 6 a.m. We left the hotel at 6:30 a.m., and the bus ride to the airport was serene, with everyone enjoying the sunrise. At the airport, we took some pictures with our tour guide, bidding her farewell. We had some free time before going through immigration, so we explored the airport and purchased beverages. After completing the immigration process, we sat near our boarding gate, eagerly waiting to board the flight. It was then that we realised we were leaving Singapore and that we would have to return to school the next day! After boarding our flight, we bid a final goodbye to Singapore. After a six-hour flight, we landed in India, bringing with us memories that would last a lifetime—new friendships, cultural experiences, and a suitcase filled with cherished moments.
