Priyanka Ashish Goyal’s sons Vihaan and Aarav are in classes II and IV respectively at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri. Highly impressed with the school, the mother tells us about the experiential learning methods used by the teachers, how they promote holistic development, and more.

Excerpts:

What is it about Apeejay that motivated you to enroll your children?

The school is quite well-known in Charkhi Dadri and we knew about its legacy. One of my cousins is also an alumnus. It was the brand name that attracted us. After we enrolled our elder son, we realised what a great environment it provided children! From the principal sir to the teachers, everyone is very cooperative. So, admitting my younger son to the same school was an obvious decision.

What do you have to say about the teaching methods used in the school?

I would like to particularly appreciate teachers for conducting online classes seamlessly. Putting our apprehensions to rest, Apeejay made every effort to ensure the students did not miss out on proper education in the two years of COVID-19 pandemic. I was happy to see my children not only attending classes diligently but also understanding each and every concept taught in class, and it happened because of teachers’ extreme patience and dedication.

Learning at Apeejay is experiential, which benefits primary section students a lot. The teachers also make the classes interesting by showing videos and PowerPoint presentations.

From class tests to progress reports and homework, the school uploads everything online which has made it convenient for parents to keep track of everything happening in school.

Does Apeejay promote holistic development?

My sons participate in a variety of extra-curricular activities. From sports to yoga and fine arts, children at Apeejay Charkhi Dadri are exposed to everything, which helps in their overall growth. They also provide special classes for Olympiads and other competitive exams. Not to mention the impact of the value-education classes, which have been helpful in shaping children’s personalities. I am quite satisfied.

What kind of improvements are you seeing in Vihaan and Aarav?

The biggest change I have seen in my sons is the way they are able to speak up in class confidently. Having developed a good understanding of the topics taught, they take active interest in learning and do not just end up cramming before the exams.
