Meet Ms Megha Anand, mother of Ruhani, student of LKG at Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, Jalandhar. In this warm and insightful conversation, she shares her toddler’s joyful journey at school, from her smooth transition and growing confidence to the nurturing bond with teachers and the positive habits she has developed. Here’s a glimpse into her experience as a satisfied and proud Apeejay parent
When did you enrol Ruhani in the school?
We enrolled Ruhani in August 2023 in the Pre-nursery. She was very young, but we wanted a school that ensures a strong start. This kindergarten offered the right balance of academics and care.
How is her overall experience thus far?
Her experience has been wonderful. From day one, she has been very excited to attend school. She feels happy, enjoys her time in class, and looks forward to learning and meeting her friends every day.
How was her initial behaviour in school?
She adjusted very smoothly right from the beginning. There was no crying or anxiety. She was confident, comfortable with teachers, and adapted quickly to the school environment, unlike many small children who usually take time.
How is your interaction with teachers?
Our communication with teachers has always been positive. They are attentive, polite, and quickly respond to any concerns. Parent-teacher meetings are helpful, and teachers make sure we are aware of her progress in every area.
What activities or hobbies does she enjoy?
She enjoys sports, dancing, and playful group activities. She loves being active and participating in anything that includes music or movement. Through these activities, she has also built good friendships and confidence.

What positive changes have you noticed in her?
We see excellent progress in her discipline and daily habits. She has learnt to eat properly, follow routines, and communicate better. Her handwriting and fine motor skills have also developed well since joining the school.
How do you support her learning at home?
We ensure she completes any homework, and we engage her in drawing, reading, and basic learning activities. We spend quality time reinforcing what she learns at school so she develops good study habits from a young age.
How do you manage her screen time?
We strictly limit screen time to 15–20 minutes a day. Instead of watching the phone or TV, we encourage her to draw, play, or do creative activities. This keeps her mind active and away from digital distractions.
Will you continue her schooling in an Apeejay branch after preschool?
We are very satisfied with the quality of education and care here. We plan to continue with the Apeejay School, Model Town branch, since it is close to home and offers excellent facilities and teaching support.
