Learning beyond classrooms takes shape as Apeejay School Saket students blend adventure with meaningful experiences during excursion

The educational trip to Manali offered students of Apeejay School Saket an opportunity to experience learning outside the classroom through adventure, environmental awareness, and cultural exploration. Spread across multiple days, the journey combined recreation with activities that encouraged teamwork, responsibility, and reflection.

Day 2 of the trip centred on outdoor adventure and shared experiences. Surrounded by the scenic landscape of Manali, students participated in a range of activities that brought moments of excitement and connection. The day also gave them time to interact closely with their peers in a different environment, away from regular academic routines. Teachers accompanying the group observed how travel experiences often help students become more independent, adaptable, and collaborative.

Day 3 began on a calm and refreshing note with a yoga session conducted amidst the mountains. The setting added a sense of stillness to the morning and encouraged students to pause and engage with nature in a mindful way. The session also highlighted the importance of balance and well-being during travel and group activities.

As the day progressed, students took part in riverside adventure activities before stepping into a more socially meaningful role through a riverbank cleanliness drive. By participating in the clean-up effort, students actively contributed to spreading awareness about environmental responsibility and sustainable travel practices. The activity encouraged them to think about how individual actions affect natural spaces, especially in ecologically sensitive regions such as the Himalayas.

The journey also included a visit to the renowned shawl factories of Kullu, where students observed the craftsmanship and traditional weaving techniques associated with Himachali heritage. The experience offered insight into local art forms and regional livelihoods, helping students understand the cultural identity of the area beyond its tourism appeal.

Through adventure, reflection, and exposure to local traditions, the trip offered students experiences that extend well beyond recreation and leave behind meaningful learning memories.
