‘I focused on improving my communication skills, technical knowledge, and interview preparation’

Apurva Gupta, an Integrated Biotechnology (B.Tech + M.Tech) graduate from Apeejay Stya University, describes her academic journey as a transformative experience marked by learning, innovation, and personal growth. At the university, she gained strong theoretical and practical exposure through laboratory work, projects, presentations, and research-based learning. Where are you working and what position?

Currently, I am working as a Research Associate in the Unimrkt Healthcare. My role involves conducting healthcare and pharmaceutical research, interacting with respondents and healthcare professionals, managing survey processes, and analysing insights for clients. This experience has helped me improve my communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities while working in a professional environment.

 How was your placement experience with Apeejay? How did you prepare for placement?

My placement experience with Apeejay Stya University was very positive and supportive. The placement cell organised training sessions, resume-building workshops, and personality development programs. These activities helped me understand industry expectations and improved my confidence.

To prepare for placements, I focused on improving my communication skills, technical knowledge, and interview preparation. I also updated my resume regularly, and worked on strengthening my subject knowledge through projects and presentations. Consistent preparation and guidance from faculty members played an important role in helping me secure professional opportunities.

How did faculty at Apeejay help you prepare for your professional journey?

The faculty at Apeejay Stya University were extremely supportive and approachable. They encouraged students to think creatively, participate in research activities, and improve practical understanding beyond textbooks. The professors guided us in academic projects, presentations, and professional communication.

They also motivated us to participate in competitions, internships, and industry interactions, which helped us gain real-world exposure. Their mentorship improved my confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, all of which are very important in professional life.
