A jungle adventure brings learning to life
Young explorers at Apeejay School Pitampura discover the joy of Madagascar
The Pre-primary Department of Apeejay School, Pitampura, turned into a lively jungle as its young learners took part in a Madagascar-themed event. Designed around imagination and exploration, the experience introduced children to the animal world through activities that were playful, engaging and suited to their age.
Wearing colourful animal masks, the little explorers entered the spirit of the theme with enthusiasm. The familiar school setting became a space where they could observe, imagine and participate freely. Each activity encouraged them to learn by doing rather than simply receiving information.
Learning through activities
The Jungle Treasure Hunt brought excitement to the event as the children searched for clues and explored their surroundings. The activity encouraged careful observation, curiosity and active participation. It also helped them understand that learning can unfold through movement, discovery and shared experiences.
The Animal Quiz gave the young learners an opportunity to recall what they knew and respond with confidence. It helped strengthen their awareness of animals while keeping the interaction lively and enjoyable.
At the Story Corner, imagination took centre stage. Stories allowed the children to connect with the Madagascar theme in a simple and meaningful way. The activity also supported listening, attention and creative thinking.
The colourful Animal Parade added another cheerful dimension to the day. Dressed in their animal masks, the children expressed themselves and became part of the jungle world they had been exploring.
Lessons beyond the theme
The event combined curiosity, creativity and experiential learning in a natural manner. While the activities introduced children to animals, they also offered simple lessons in observation, communication, confidence and participation.
More than a themed celebration, the Madagascar event gave the little ones room to wonder, respond and learn together. It showed how thoughtfully planned activities can make early learning joyful, memorable and closely connected with a child’s imagination.
