With an aim to promote healthy eating habits and holistic well-being among children, Apeejay School, Noida, organised an insightful live webinar on the topic Nutrition Matters: Creating Balanced School Lunches for the parents of Balvatika 1 to Class V students. The informative session focused on raising awareness about the importance of balanced nutrition and healthy food choices for growing children.
The webinar commenced on a warm and positive note with the introduction and green welcome of the Resource Person. Addressing the gathering, the Principal of the school, Dr. Neha Sharma, highlighted the crucial role of nutritious eating habits in a child’s physical, emotional, and cognitive development. She stressed that healthy food choices made during childhood lay the foundation for a healthier and more disciplined future.
The keynote speaker for the session was Ms Vandana Arora, mother of Saksham Arora of Class XII D, a renowned Wellness Coach, Yoga Trainer, Nutritionist, and Founder of WellnessbyVandana. Through an engaging and interactive presentation, she shared valuable insights into the growing nutritional concerns among children and practical ways parents can encourage healthier eating habits at home.
During the session, Ms Arora elaborated on several important topics, including the significance of proper nutrition, the impact of genetics versus lifestyle choices, common child health patterns, and the major causes behind unhealthy eating behaviours. She also guided parents on the essentials of preparing balanced tiffins and introduced practical lunchbox toolkits that could help make meals more nutritious, attractive, and enjoyable for children.




One of the highlights of the webinar was the discussion on easy meal-planning strategies and healthy lunchbox ideas that parents could incorporate into their daily routines. Ms. Arora also emphasised the importance of mindful eating and encouraged parents to adopt sustainable practices that would help children develop lifelong healthy food habits.
The webinar witnessed enthusiastic participation from parents, especially during the interactive Question and Answer session where they actively shared concerns and sought guidance on nutrition, meal planning, and child wellness. The resource person addressed every query with practical suggestions and relatable examples, making the session highly engaging and beneficial for all attendees.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt ‘vote of thanks’, expressing sincere gratitude to the resource person and parents for their active participation and support.
