Riyanshi and Chakshu Garg are studying in classes 5 and 1 respectively in Apeejay Charkhi Dadri. For their mother Tulika, a homemaker, the school is the best in the area. In an interview, the mother reveals how Apeejay has instilled confidence in her children. Edited excerpts:

What made you opt for Apeejay Charkhi Dadri for Riyanshi?

Being brought up in Charkhi Dadri, I was aware of the school’s reputation. Besides, my younger brother is an alumnus of the school, so we had firsthand experience of the quality of education it offers. When it came to enrolling my daughter, Apeejay was the only school we considered.

What, according to you, makes Apeejay an ideal educational institution?

What stands out is the confidence level of Apeejay students. In the case of Riyanshi, I have seen how the school boosted her confidence over time. She has no stage fright. Her communication skills are also very good. At Apeejay, children are groomed to become well-rounded individuals through exposure to various co-curricular activities. It is not just those select few students who get the opportunities but the entire class. Each student is encouraged.

Has Chakshu adapted to the new school?

Chakshu was enrolled in class KG. He began schooling with online classes. We had our apprehensions initially, but his class teacher Anita ma’am was so supportive that my son developed his interest very quickly. Now that he is attending offline classes, he is very happy.

Are your children able to manage self-study?

Both my children manage their assignments and homework on their own, thanks to the teachers who prepare them well in class. My kids know they can speak to the teachers whenever they have some doubts. The teachers are always there to guide not just students but even their parents.

How well do teachers prepare the students for exams?

The teachers conduct regular revision or unit tests after every module to help prepare the students. So, when they have annual exams, they don’t feel stressed at all.

Does the school offer a safe and secure environment to students?

Right at the time of the admission, the school takes photos of the parents or guardians to ensure only they would be allowed to pick up the child from school. I am very satisfied with the school and recommend it to other new parents.
