Vibhuti Verma, who completed her Integrated B.Tech–M.Tech in Biotechnology along with a Minor in Management from Apeejay Stya University (ASU), Gurugram, reflects on a fulfilling five-year academic journey marked by growth, learning, and professional development. Currently working in the healthcare market research domain, she credits the university’s supportive faculty, practical exposure, and enriching opportunities for shaping her confidence and career path. In this interview, she shares her placement journey, valuable skills gained at Apeejay, and aspirations in healthcare management. Read edited excerpts:
Where are you working and what position?
I am currently working in the healthcare market research domain, where I contribute to research and insights generation for healthcare stakeholders.
How was your placement experience with Apeejay? How did you prepare for placements?
My placement experience was very positive. Interestingly, I did not have much time to prepare for my interview as the opportunity came unexpectedly. I simply went through the basics, stayed confident, and gave it my best. Looking back, it was a wise decision to take that opportunity, as it opened the door to my current career path. The placement support provided by the university was also very helpful throughout the process.
How did the faculty at Apeejay help you prepare for your professional journey?
The faculty members were extremely supportive and encouraging. They guided me academically, motivated me to participate in various activities, and helped me develop the confidence and skills needed for my professional journey.
What skills did you learn at Apeejay?
At Apeejay, I developed skills in research, presentations, event management, teamwork, and professional communication, which have been valuable in my career.
What are your future aspirations?
I am interested in healthcare management and aspire to build a successful career in this field. I aim to continue learning, take on leadership responsibilities, and contribute meaningfully to the healthcare industry.
