I am delighted to recount the remarkable events that unfolded on a distinguished Wednesday. It was May 24, 2023. On this day, we had the privilege of participating in a future roadmap workshop led by the esteemed Ms. Bhavya Arora, School Counsellor at Apeejay School International, Panchsheel Park. The workshop, aptly named “Light, Camera, Action,” provided us (students) with a productive and accessible approach to reflections.

During this enlightening session, the concept of “light” was metaphorically utilised to signify the importance of having a clear vision and personal mission in life. The metaphorical “camera” served as a lens through which we could perceive and focus on our aspirations and goals. Finally, the notion of “action” emphasised the necessity of actively working towards realising our mission. The workshop shed light on the significance of reflection, elucidating its purpose and offering guidance on effective engagement.

Reflection, as we learned, plays a pivotal role in personal development, enabling us to evaluate the effectiveness of our skills and approaches. It encourages us to question our actions and motivations in a positive manner, leading to a re-evaluation of our methods and the potential discovery of more efficient or improved strategies for the future. The workshop provided a set of questions to consider and summarise our reflections, facilitating a productive and insightful process.

·         What aspects worked well (or did not work well) throughout this year?

·         Which three accomplishments are you most proud of, and why?

·         What was the most surprising occurrence you experienced this year?

·         Have you cultivated any positive habits over the course of this year?

·         Has anyone had a significant influence on your life?

These thoughtful pointers facilitated an easier and more productive reflection process for all participants, allowing us to gain valuable insights into our own journeys.

The day also brought an extra touch of delight as we were treated to a captivating performance by Ryan Kheterpal, Vivaan Khanna, and Arjun Sharma, talented students from Middle-Years- Programme (MYP) – II. Their outstanding display of talent left us in awe and admiration. This special performance was dedicated to our MYP 5 students, who will soon embark on their Diploma Programme journey. The MYP 5 students have been exceptional seniors, enriching our experiences and leaving a lasting impression.

Inspired by the mesmerising performance, many of us joined in to contribute to the celebratory atmosphere for our MYP 5 graduating class. It was a heartfelt moment of shared joy and celebration within our MYP community. Lively discussions, engaging conversations, and cheerful interactions followed, fostering a sense of camaraderie and appreciation for the bonds we have formed.

In conclusion, it was truly an exceptional day, leaving a lasting impression on all of us. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who contributed to its success. Your hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed. Thank you for creating a day to be cherished and remembered.
