Her daughter has been at Apeejay School, Tanda Road, since the nursery. And the journey here began in 2019. As a helicopter mother, she preferred to choose this school because it is very close to home. But when she visited the school, she liked the environment. The teachers were cooperative and friendly, and she felt comfortable with them. Meet Manju Sharma, whose daughter, Dhriti, has now gone in Class VI.

In an impromptu interview, the mother shares how the school supports discipline and overall development, among other things.

How does the school promote learning beyond textbooks?

The school focuses a lot on activities like sports, studies, and festivals like Diwali and Holi. My daughter participates in drawing, sports, and poetry competitions and enjoys them. In fact, she does not even feel like taking a day off because the environment is so engaging. She doesn’t feel burdened by studies here.

How does the school support discipline and overall development?

The school works on communication skills and overall development. The teachers play a big role in shaping the child. There are experienced teachers who guide the children. They are very cooperative and give a lot of attention to studies and support the students whenever required.

Something that your daughter would love to do.

She would love to take up French, but it is still developing. In Class VI, children are the right age to learn and practice new skills. Overall, the facilities are good, and with a few additions, they can become even better.

Has your child gained confidence after joining the school?

Yes, definitely. Earlier she was a bit shy, but now she can speak to teachers, participate in functions, and handle situations confidently. She now takes initiative to participate in functions. Whether it is dance or any activity, she comes forward on her own. Her overall behaviour and communication have improved.

How is the teaching methodology?

The teaching is very good. I have no complaints. For any small issues we go to the Principal who resolves them at the earliest to the parents’ satisfaction.
