Board examinations mark one of the most significant milestones in a student’s academic journey. Achieving top scores and emerging as a topper not only reflects dedication and hard work but also brings immense pride. Once again, in the CBSE Class X Board Examination, the students of Apeejay School, Saket, proved their determination and hard work.
The achievers share inspiring stories of perseverance and success. They also spoke about the study strategies they followed, their aspirations for the future, and the constant support they received from their families and teachers, which greatly contributed to their remarkable success.
‘Constant revision is the key’
Swastik Sahu, the school topper who scored 99%, shared, “I feel absolutely blessed and elated for securing the highest percentage in my school.” The student expressed heartfelt gratitude to his parents and school for their constant support in achieving his excellent results. He secured a perfect score of 100 in Social Studies, Sanskrit, and Artificial Intelligence.
He further highlighted, “All my subject teachers tried their level best to clear my doubts and help me during difficult times throughout the academic session. They constantly kept me motivated, which enabled me to achieve this feat.” Swastik’s preparation strategy varied according to the subject. For practical subjects like Maths and Physics, he focused on regularly practicing numerical problems, which helped him gain confidence for the exams. For theory subjects such as Science, Social Studies, English, AI, and Sanskrit, he revised chapters point-wise to stay organised and avoid last-minute pressure. To manage stress, he talked to his parents, went for walks, played badminton, and read novels. He advises juniors to practice regularly, stay dedicated, and treat board exams as the first milestone in their journey.
‘Staying calm and organised helps a lot during preparation’
Brahmanshi Sharma, who scored 98.2%, expressed, “It was a very emotional moment as it reflected the hard work I had put in throughout the year. My parents were very proud and happy, and their blessings mean everything to me. My teachers and friends were equally encouraging and supportive- they appreciated my efforts and motivated me further to continue working with the same dedication.”
The high scorer emphasised, “Teachers’ guidance has played a very important role in my journey. I feel very fortunate to be a student of Apeejay School, where I have been studying since nursery. The school has always provided a very positive and motivating learning environment. My teachers were always approachable and guided me whenever I had doubts.”
The achiever credits regular revision sessions, practice papers, and constant encouragement from teachers for helping maintain confidence during preparation. The discipline and values learned at school also played a significant role in shaping the academic journey. Brahmanshi scored well in all subjects and secured a centum in Artificial Intelligence, while also performing strongly in English, Science, and Mathematics. Preparation focused on consistency, conceptual clarity, attentive classroom learning, proper notes, and regular revision, along with practicing sample papers and previous-year questions. To manage stress, the student maintained a balanced routine with short breaks and time with family. During exams, staying calm, trusting preparation, and managing time effectively helped maintain confidence. In the future, the student plans to pursue Science and prepare for competitive examinations while continuing to work hard.
‘Sincere efforts and disciplined efforts’
The third topper Krishiv Sharma scored an impressive 95.8%, reflecting his dedication, perseverance, and consistent hard work throughout the academic year. His sincere efforts and disciplined preparation helped him achieve this remarkable result, bringing immense pride and joy to both his parents and the school.
