Dr Mahesh Tayal, a pathologist who runs his own diagnostic centre in Charkhi Dadri, says he is very happy with the way his children Disha and Darsh mingle with their classmates and teachers. They are in classes III and KG respectively in Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, and are showing significant developments, the father says in an interview.

Excerpts:

Why did you choose Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, for your children?

My wife Dr Mona Tayal is an alumna of Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri. So, we already knew about the quality of education the school provides. So, when we moved from Hisar to Charkhi Dadri in 2019, we enrolled our children last year in classes III and KG respectively. And we have had a good experience so far.

What was the admission process like?

It was very smooth. The school principal made us feel at home during our very first meeting. My children also felt very comfortable and happily interacted with him. They became friends on the first day itself.

What improvements are you noticing in Disha and Darsh?

Initially, we were worried if Darsh would be able to adjust to the environment since he was just confined at home for nearly two years due to Covid-19. But he is showing a lot of improvement — he has made friends in school and interacts confidently with his teachers and his classmates. He is able to focus better now. Similarly, my daughter is also participating in a lot of co-curricular activities. Both of them are taking an active interest in academics as well as school events. Their overall personalities are being shaped well. I am quite satisfied with their progress.

What do you think about the teachers at Apeejay?

The teachers are very cooperative. Since I go to school almost every day to drop off or pick up my children, I get to interact with the teachers who share feedback and other helpful information. They have been very supportive throughout.
