Given that their elder son, Naitik Sachin Kawale’s (now in Class XI), journey at this school has been good, the family decided to enrol their younger one, Rivansh Sachin Kawale, now in Class IV, here as well. “The entire journey for both the boys at Apeejay School, Nerul, has been wonderful,” Dr Sachin Kawale said in an impromptu interview, among other things.

What role has the school played in your sons’ overall well-being and academic growth?

The school has definitely played an important role in the overall development of my children. It has provided a safe, nurturing and positive environment. The school has the right mix of discipline, academics and extracurricular activities. That is one of the main things I value. The teachers we have interacted with over the years are literally like an extended family for us.

When you were looking for a school for your elder son, what stood out to you?

Apeejay Schools stand for a strong academic reputation. We knew from our neighbours and others that the class teachers and faculty were extremely good. Discipline was one of the key things we were looking for. Along with that, the school had the right mix of extracurricular and co-curricular activities. Sports and other activities were also given importance. The teachers also supported children for extra exams like SpellBee and others.

How did the teachers support Naitik during his Bboard exams?

Right from my younger son to my elder son, passing Class X, we have come across many teachers who have really helped and supported us at every moment. I still remember an incident during COVID, when my younger son’s admission was due. We all had COVID-19 at that time. The coordinator helped us by extending the deadline for the admission process.

What changes have you seen in your younger son?

His confidence has definitely increased. His communication skills have become better, and he has opened up more. Discipline-wise, he is also doing well. He has the enthusiasm to learn and participate with his friends in school.

How are the teachers here?

First of all, I want to mention that some of the teachers here are the gems of the school. They have helped us so much. They are like family. If we have some personal problems, they understand and consider them. If they see a certain kind of behavioural change in the children, they bring it to our notice.

Was there any particular moment in the last year that made you proud of Rivansh?

My younger one is a bit shy. But his class teacher helped him to open up. The teacher used to give him small responsibilities, like collecting a book or doing something in class, so that he would go and speak to someone. These are the efforts that matter. It is not just about studies. It helps build the personality of the child.
