Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri begins Independence Day celebrations

Young dancers showcase patriotism, and cultural spirit in an energetic Inter-house competition

Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, marked the beginning of its 80th Independence Day celebrations with an Inter-house Solo Dance Competition for students of Classes III to V. The event brought together young performers who expressed their love for the nation through vibrant music, graceful movements and energetic performances.

The school campus came alive with patriotic fervour as students presented carefully choreographed dance performances highlighting themes of unity, courage, sacrifice and national pride. Dressed in colourful costumes, the participants impressed the audience with their confidence, expressions, rhythm and stage presence. Their performances also reflected India’s rich cultural heritage and the values associated with freedom and harmony.

Students from all houses participated enthusiastically, making the competition an engaging and inspiring celebration of talent and patriotism. The judges appreciated the participants for their creativity, coordination, confidence and expressive performances.

The competition concluded with the announcement of the winners. Lavya of Class V secured the first position, while Raavi and Himakshi, both from Class V, jointly secured the second position. Gargi and Akshita of Class V shared the third position, while Trisha of Class V received the consolation prize.

The prize distribution ceremony was graced by the school Principal, Dr Vineet Vasishtha, who congratulated the winners and appreciated all participants for their dedication and enthusiasm. He presented certificates to the winners and encouraged students to continue nurturing their talents with discipline and confidence.

Addressing the gathering, he highlighted the importance of cultural activities in fostering creativity, self-expression and patriotism among students. He also urged the children to honour the sacrifices of the nation’s freedom fighters by growing into responsible, compassionate and contributing citizens.

“The vibrant performances by our young dancers beautifully reflected the spirit of patriotism, confidence, and cultural pride. I congratulate all the participants and the winners for their outstanding efforts and thank the teachers for their dedicated guidance. May the 80th Independence Day celebrations inspire every student to cherish our nation’s glorious heritage, uphold its values, and contribute towards building a stronger, united, and progressive India,” Dr Vasistha shared.

The event marked a spirited start to the school’s week-long Independence Day celebrations. The enthusiastic participation of students, applause from teachers and the atmosphere of healthy competition made the occasion memorable, setting an inspiring tone for the forthcoming celebrations.
