Apeejay School, Saket, celebrated the 80th Independence Day with a programme centred on courage, unity and love for the nation. Students, parents and members of the school community took part in activities that brought together patriotic expression, academic recognition and shared participation.
A Class II student delivered a patriotic speech as part of the celebration. The young speaker’s participation reflected how an understanding of national values can begin during the early years of school.
Young voices express national pride
A vibrant patriotic dance followed the speech. Through movement and expression, the performance captured the energy of the occasion. A melodious medley of patriotic songs added another layer to the programme and created a strong sense of collective pride.
Hindi poetry also formed an important part of the event. The verses focused on courage, unity and affection for the country. Each presentation gave students a different way to understand and express the meaning of Independence Day.

Academic achievement receives recognition
The occasion also acknowledged students who had performed exceptionally well in academics. Class X and XII Board rank toppers from the previous academic session received financial incentives from the school management.
The recognition placed academic effort alongside the values highlighted during the national celebration. It drew attention to the discipline and commitment behind strong Board examination results.

Parents join the celebration
A kite flying event was organised for parents of students from the primary wing. Their participation brought families into the celebration and gave the occasion a warm, community character.
The event also carried the message of Little Hearts, Big Patriotism. It connected the dreams of young children with the future of the nation.
Through speech, dance, music, poetry, recognition and family participation, the celebration helped students engage with patriotism in ways they could see, hear and experience.
