‘My Neighbourhood’: Poem by Viraj Birla, Apeejay School, Nerul

My neighbour on the right
Is just as quiet as night
Never comes up for a fight
Always helps in plight
My neighbour on the left
Always seems distressed
So we help them rest
Through their worries and stress
My neighbour in front
Hardly ever I confront
But occasionally they will punt
With cricket balls affront
My neighbour right behind
Hardly gives a piece of their mind
Unless I happen to throw a ball blind
And then I get fined
My neighbour on top
Their music never seems to stop
I see them sometimes in a shop
And I think one of them is a cop
My neighbour who lives below
Are senior citizens , so they are slow
But they are so kind it always shows
Whenever I see them on the go
But the best neighbour
Lives across the street
Whose kids I love to meet
Time spent with them is always so sweet
It is truly just like a treat
