The HR Squad of Apeejay School of Management (ASM), Dwarka, recently organised an insightful and dynamic ‘HR Think Tank’ competition, designed to challenge students’ problem-solving abilities in real-world HR scenarios. The event brought together teams of participants who were tasked with tackling complex, case-based situations that tested their analytical and collaborative skills.

The competition saw Akshat Sharma and Garv Kapoor emerge as the first-place winners, impressing the judges with their innovative and well-thought-out solutions. The second position was a tie between two teams: Vishesh Oberoi and Neha Sheet, and Riya Singh and Sudhanshu Singh, both of whom demonstrated exceptional teamwork and critical thinking. Another tie occurred for the third position, with the teams of Mitanshi Khanna and Abhilasha Singh, and Anupreksha Jain and Manya Jain, all displaying commendable creativity and problem-solving prowess.

The ‘HR Think Tank’ competition was structured around the need for clear communication and effective collaboration between team members. Participants were required to work closely with their partners, actively listening to each other’s ideas and building upon them to propose comprehensive solutions. This collaborative effort underscored the importance of teamwork in solving HR-related challenges, where success often depends on the synergy between partners.

One of the key takeaways from the event was the demonstration of strong critical thinking skills among the participants. Faced with intricate HR scenarios, the teams were tasked with analysing the problems systematically and proposing viable solutions. This highlighted the necessity of a methodical approach in the HR field, where challenges are often multifaceted and require a deep understanding of various factors.

Creativity was another crucial element of the competition. Participants were encouraged to think outside the box, offering unique perspectives and innovative ideas that could address the HR issues presented. This emphasis on creativity not only showcased the participants’ ability to devise original solutions but also highlighted the importance of bringing fresh ideas to the HR industry.

Overall, the ‘HR Think Tank’ competition was a resounding success, providing students with a platform to hone their skills in communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. The event served as a valuable exercise in preparing the next generation of HR professionals to tackle the complex challenges of the industry with confidence and competence.
