Read edited excerpts:

Where did you receive the offer from and what position?

I received my placement offer from Tata Capital as an Assistant Manager – Business Loans (Unsecured). Currently, I’m working in the Business Finance team, where I’m learning about credit assessment, financial analysis, customer relationship management, and business lending.

How did you prepare for placement? Share tips.

I followed three simple strategies: First, I strengthened my fundamentals in finance and banking because interviewers often test your core concepts before anything else. Second, I worked on improving my communication skills by participating in mock interviews, presentations, and classroom discussions. Confidence comes with practice. Third, I made sure my resume reflected real work instead of just listing achievements. I could confidently explain every internship, project, certification, and competition mentioned in my resume.

My advice to juniors is to start early, keep updating your skills, and never underestimate the importance of consistency. Every interview, even if unsuccessful, teaches you something valuable.

How did ASM help you prepare for the placement journey?

Apeejay School of Management played a very important role in my placement journey. The curriculum focused on practical learning through live projects, internships, case studies, presentations, and industry interactions. These experiences helped me understand how classroom concepts are applied in the corporate world. The placement cell regularly organised mock interviews, aptitude sessions, resume reviews, and corporate interactions, which boosted my confidence before the actual recruitment process. Most importantly, the continuous guidance from faculty members motivated me to keep improving and prepared me to face interviews with confidence.

What are your future aspirations as an MBA graduate?

As an MBA graduate, my goal is to build strong expertise in corporate finance and lending while continuously developing my analytical and leadership skills. In the long run, I aspire to move into leadership roles where I can contribute to business growth, mentor teams, and create value for both the organisation and its customers.
