Students from Delhi-based Institute get selected for WTYounggunprogramme 

Wunderman Thompson chooses five budding media professionals of Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication (AIMC) to unleash their creative potential

Out of many from across Indian media institutes, a total of five students of Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication (AIMC), Delhi,  have been selected by Wunderman Thompson, a leading creative agency, for its WTYoungunsProgramme. These students include Praveen Prajapati, Sakshi Verma, Ritul Bhattacharjee, Khushbu Gupta and Akansha Verma.

The programme aims at familiarising budding media professionals with creative storytelling, diverse perspectives, inclusive thinking, and highly specialised vertical capabilities, so that they learn the skills required to drive growth for their future clients. 

On joining the programme, Praveen Prajapati, student of Advertising and Marketing Communications at AIMC, expressed, “The first day was very good. We interacted with lots of students from different cities who have joined #wtyoungunsprogramme. We had an online introduction session, after which our mentor guided us what we will be doing in the next 3 months as well as briefed us about the day-to-day activities. We will also have practice sessions.” 

Adding further, another Advertising and Marketing Communications Ritul shared, “The first day as an intern in WPP was quite fulfilling as I got to meet a lot of my peers, who are part of this program. I’m looking forward to modules that I will be learning in the coming weeks. Along with this, it was an immense pleasure since I got to speak to VP of Creative Art Mr.Rupesh Sahay, who also assigned some basic research work regarding brand identity and dissection of campaigns.”

The 3-month internship programme is designed to unleash the creative abilities of these individuals, who are aspiring to make a mark in the ever-evolving creative and media field. 

AIMC student Sakshi Verma said, “The first day was amazing as we interacted with lots of students. I was also introduced to my team who gave me a quick tour to the office. My task on day one was to do research about Indian beauty trends.”

Khushbu Gupta of AIMC who is specialising in copywriting mentioned , “The day started with a gearing up session with the WT Youngun Heads. I met the other Younguns across India. With that I also got to meet the Youngun in me who is ready to unleash and learn. Afterwards, I met VP sir.  All in all, it was a thrilling experience and I am hoping to explore more every day.”
