Honouring a visionary legacy 

Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, commemorated the 102nd birth anniversary of Shrimati Rajeshwari Paul with reverence, gratitude, and vibrant cultural expression. The occasion celebrated the enduring legacy of the visionary educationist whose commitment to compassion, excellence, service, and value-based learning continues to guide the Apeejay fraternity.

The programme began on a solemn note with a floral tribute offered by the school Principal, Dr Vineet Vasishtha. Members of the teaching staff and the Prefectorial Board also paid their respects, reflecting the school community’s deep gratitude for Shrimati Rajeshwari Paul’s invaluable contribution to education and nation-building. 

Students brought warmth and meaning to the commemoration through thoughtful speeches in Hindi and English. Their heartfelt tributes highlighted her inspiring life, far-sighted vision, and belief in nurturing young minds with strong values. Through their words, students reflected on how her ideals remain relevant in shaping responsible, confident, and compassionate citizens.

Graceful dance performances presented by students further enlivened the celebration. Blending colour, rhythm, and expression, the performances beautifully conveyed the themes of unity, gratitude, and India’s rich cultural heritage. The cultural presentations added a spirited dimension to the occasion while honouring the values that Shrimati Rajeshwari Paul championed throughout her life.

A key highlight of the programme was the Solo Singing Competition, which saw enthusiastic participation from students across classes. The young performers impressed the audience with their vocal ability, confidence, and stage presence.

In the senior category, Sunidhi of Class X secured the first position, followed by Varun Bansal of Class XI in second place. In the middle category, Riya Vats of Class VII and Tiara of Class VI shared the first position. Riddhi of Class VII and Riddhi of Class VI secured second place, while Armaan of Class VII and Vivaan Bansal of Class VIII received third position. In the junior category, Mauryaditya of Class V won first place, Raavi of Class IV secured second place, and Hetanshi received third place.

Addressing the gathering, the Principal applauded the students for their enthusiastic participation and appreciated the teachers for organising a meaningful and memorable programme. He encouraged students to imbibe the values of humility, perseverance, compassion, and excellence exemplified by Shrimati Rajeshwari Paul.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving the gathering inspired to uphold her noble ideals. The commemoration served as a fitting tribute to a visionary whose life continues to illuminate the path of education, service, and human values.
