Shrawan Kumar Yadav’s passion for creativity and problem-solving found the perfect platform at Apeejay Institute of Technology – School of Architecture and Planning (AIT-SAP), Greater Noida, where he built a strong foundation in architecture. His dedication and consistent hard work earned him the 7th Rank in the AKTU B.Arch examinations, a testament to his academic excellence. In this interview, Shrawan shares his learning journey, the invaluable support of his faculty, his interest in sustainable architecture, and his aspirations to create innovative, meaningful spaces that benefit society. Why did you choose AIT-SAP for your graduation?
I chose AIT-SAP because of its good academic reputation, experienced faculty, and practical approach to learning architecture.
How did you feel as you stood out as one of the toppers?
I felt very happy and proud. This achievement motivated me to work even harder and continue learning.
What have been your learning aspirations as an architect student from Apeejay?
My aim has always been to learn beyond the classroom by improving my design thinking, understanding practical aspects of architecture, and building the confidence to handle real-world projects.
How did the faculty help you achieve your goals?
The faculty always supported and encouraged me to do my best. Their guidance, regular feedback, and practical teaching helped me improve my knowledge, confidence, and overall performance
What would you like to specialise in architecture? What skills do you think are important to develop as an architect?
I would like to specialise in sustainable and innovative architecture. I believe an architect should develop creativity, technical knowledge, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills to succeed in the profession.
What are your future aspirations?
My aspiration is to become a successful architect, continue learning through higher studies and professional experience, and design projects that are functional, sustainable, and meaningful for society.
