For Aryan Sharma, the journey at Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar, was one of continuous learning, skill development, and self-discovery. From strengthening his technical foundation through projects to building confidence with the support of dedicated faculty, every experience prepared him for the corporate world. Today, as he begins his professional career as an Associate Software Developer Level 2, Aryan reflects on his placement journey, the guidance he received, and the lessons that helped him achieve this milestone. Read edited excerpts:
How do you feel after getting the placement offer? What position have you been offered?
I was really happy when I got the placement offer. It was a special moment for me because all the hard work finally paid off. I have been offered the position of Associate Software Developer Level 2. I am excited to start my professional journey and learn new things from experienced people.
How did you prepare for your placements?
I started preparing a few months before the placement season. I revised my basic computer science subjects, practiced coding questions, and solved aptitude problems. I also worked on my communication skills and attended mock interviews. I made sure I understood the projects mentioned in my resume because interviewers often ask about them.
How did your teachers at Apeejay help you during the placement process?
My teachers supported me throughout the placement process. They guided us in technical subjects, arranged mock interviews, and gave useful tips for interviews. Whenever I had any doubts, they were always ready to help. Their guidance and motivation gave me confidence during the interviews.
What are your tips to crack a job interview?
My advice is to start preparing early and be consistent. Learn the basics well instead of trying to study everything at the last minute. Practice coding regularly and be confident while speaking. Also, be honest during the interview. If you don’t know an answer, it’s better to say so politely instead of guessing.
What are your future aspirations?
In the future, I want to become a skilled software engineer and keep learning new technologies. I want to work on interesting projects, improve my skills, and grow in my career. My goal is to take on more responsibilities and become someone who can make a positive impact in the company.
