A happiness challenge is something that aims to include joys in a lifestyle. While challenge is basically a collection of certain good habits including sound sleep, reading more, writing every day, socialising, eating healthy, moving more, performing good deeds, meditation, yoga, aerobics, and these in turn make many really happier. The real challenge is to inculcate these habits not only when you are depressed but in a daily schedule.

In modern times, every student, adult or an old person has some kind of stress, which not only upsets their psychological level, but also triggers biological changes in hormones. This is where happiness plays a role, helping to temper these effects and recover more quickly.

Research suggests that the feeling of doing good for others can also boost the good hormones, which ultimately leads to happiness. We need to prioritise happiness over other things. It is well said that a happy and peaceful mind can create miracles. Nursing grievances against others only leads to deprivation of peace. Therefore, get rid of all the negative toxins as soon as they strike your mind. Your mind is a beautiful garden to grow and nurture healthy thoughts.

Last but not the least, it can be said that health benefits of positive thinking are widely extolled and indispensable. The ultimate health indicator might be longevity, which can come through a happy and stres-free mind.

At last, I would like to give you all a happiness challenge, where each one of you will have to follow these tips for 21 days and you will see the positive change in your lifestyle immediately.

STEPS FOR THE HAPPINESS CHALLENGE:

1. Power of 8 minute phone call: Every day you need to call a friend, relative or a person you feel can understand you and your situation. During the call, you need to speak out your heart and then see the power of the call.

2. Go for dinner: You can go for dinner with your parents or friends once a week or in 15 days. This routine will freshen up your mood and will increase good hormones.

3. Write a journal: Every night you can write about your day in a diary. You can write all the good things that happened to you and how many times you smiled that day.

4. Indulge in your favourite hobby: You may spend 1-2 hours of your day on your hobby – that can be dance, yoga, reading books, listening to music or painting.
