‘Consistent learning and preparation can help in securing a good internship’

Sriman Male from Apeejay Stya University, Gurugram, shares why he chose the university for graduation

For  Sriman Male, pursuing a BBA in Marketing at Apeejay Stya University (ASU), Gurugram has been a journey of learning, friendships, and personal growth. With a keen interest in business and marketing, Yara credits the university’s industry-oriented curriculum and supportive environment for helping him strengthen communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. Passionate about football as well, he shares how ASU has helped him balance academics, hobbies, and career aspirations. Read edited excerpts:

Why did you choose Apeejay for your graduation?

I chose Apeejay Stya University because of its industry-focused curriculum, experienced faculty, and opportunities for practical learning. I felt that the university would help me develop both academically and professionally.

What new skills have you learned at Apeejay ?

At Apeejay Stya University, I have improved my communication and presentation skills. I have also developed teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving abilities, along with gaining knowledge of basic marketing concepts.

Your memories and how did Apeejay help you grow your hobbies?

One of my favourite memories is participating in college events and spending time with my classmates. I am passionate about football, and the university has supported me in continuing my training while managing both my studies and my sport. This balance has helped me grow both personally and professionally.

How should students prepare for internships?

I believe students should prepare for internships by building relevant skills, maintaining a strong resume, improving communication skills, networking with professionals, and applying to multiple opportunities. Consistent learning and preparation can help in securing a good internship.

Your future aspirations

My future aspiration is to build a successful career in business, marketing, and management while continuously improving my skills. At the same time, I am passionate about football and want to keep pursuing it seriously. I aim to grow both professionally and personally while making a positive impact in my chosen field.
