The three-day Echoes of Expression 2026-2027 (Express, innovate, create, perform) at Apeejay School, Pitampura, unfolded as a vibrant confluence of creativity, intellect, and artistic brilliance. The event brought together young talents from across Delhi-NCR, each contributing to an atmosphere charged with enthusiasm and purpose. Graced by the presence of the school Principal, Ms Veena Goel, Principal, and Vice-principal, Dr Renuka Sharma, along with other distinguished dignitaries, the opening day reflected the institution’s commitment to nurturing expression in its myriad forms. Guided by the inspiring theme, From Imagination to Innovation, the platform encouraged students to transform ideas into meaningful artistic and intellectual expressions.

Day 1

The day was marked by a rich tapestry of competitions that celebrated diverse talents. Kalakrityam witnessed imagination take visual form, as participants translated thoughts into compelling works of art. Geetam filled the air with melody and emotion, while Vadyam created an immersive auditory experience through instrumental finesse. The grace and discipline of classical traditions came alive in Nrityam, where performers blended technique with expressive storytelling. Adding a theatrical dimension, Nautanki Manchan captivated audiences with its vibrant portrayal of narratives, combining drama, dialogue, and expressive flair. The seamless progression of events, coupled with the participants’ passion and creativity, set an energetic tone for the festival. Day 1 concluded on a high note, establishing a strong foundation for the days ahead and leaving the audience eager for more.

Day 2

Building upon the momentum of the opening day, Day 2 of Echoes of Expression 2026 unfolded as a dynamic exploration of ideas, perspectives, and articulate expression. The focus shifted from artistic performance to intellectual engagement, creating a balanced and thought-provoking experience. Students from various schools once again showcased remarkable enthusiasm, participating in events that demanded clarity of thought, creativity, and confidence.

Opinions Matter emerged as a powerful platform where participants voiced their perspectives on contemporary issues with conviction and awareness, reflecting both depth and maturity. In Help Desk, students demonstrated presence of mind and problem-solving abilities, navigating real-life scenarios with impressive communication skills. Adding a creative twist, Stranded in 2050: What Happens When History Meets the Future transported audiences into imaginative realms, where historical figures and futuristic possibilities intertwined in compelling narratives.

The cultural richness of the day was further elevated through performances that resonated deeply with the audience. The Hindi theatrical presentation, अब बस… खामोशी का अंत… सच का आरंभ, delivered a poignant message, urging the courage to break silence and embrace truth. Complementing this was the evocative poetry recitation, बोल के लब आज़ाद हैं तेरे, where words became a powerful medium of expression, echoing themes of freedom, identity, and voice.

The day stood as a testament to the transformative power of expression—where ideas were not only shared but felt, questioned, and celebrated. Together, the first two days of Echoes of Expression 2026 have created a compelling narrative of talent, thought, and creativity, promising many more moments of brilliance in the journey ahead.

Day 3

The final day presentied a compelling showcase of innovation, intellect, and futuristic thinking among young minds. Staying true to the overarching theme, From Imagination to Innovation, the day was dedicated to nurturing problem-solving abilities and encouraging students to translate ideas into impactful, real-world solutions.

The highlight of the day was Innovation to Impact (App Development), which witnessed participation from at least twelve schools, making it one of the most competitive segments of the event. Students presented thoughtfully designed applications addressing practical challenges with creativity and technical acumen. Among the participants, Azlan and Hamsaar from Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, stood out with their app Study Sphere, an integrated platform featuring an AI chatbot, to-do list management, and interactive quizzes tailored exclusively for students. Developed using MIT App Inventor, the duo shared that they had previously created three to four applications, reflecting both experience and passion for innovation.

Equally impressive were Dhvani Mittal and Unmukt Anand from Bal Bharati Public School, who presented a multi-faceted application incorporating a chatbot, daily reminders, and note-management features. Their dedication and diligence in building a comprehensive, user-centric platform were evident in both concept and execution.

The judging panel for this category, comprising Mr Naveen Sharma, Founder, RSTC and Project Manager, and Mr Pawan Vashisht, CEO, Krishlir Consultancy, provided invaluable insights to the participants. They emphasised that authenticity lies at the heart of successful app development grounded in clear thinking, defined principles, and a deep understanding of the “why” and “how.” They advised students not to focus solely on the end product, but to embrace the learning journey, including failures, as an essential part of growth.

Highlighting simplicity, collaboration, and stability as key pillars, they shared a structured approach to development: understanding requirements, listening to clients, cultivating empathy, writing user stories, validating ideas, coding, allowing the system to demonstrate functionality, then rigorous testing and eventual deployment.

The spirit of ideation continued with Ideathon, where students brainstormed and presented impactful concepts with clarity and vision. Representing Apeejay School, Pitampura, Tasha, Pranav, and Neerav introduced Terra Tracker, an innovative application designed to calculate carbon footprints. Using a formula that multiplies emissions by the number of units consumed, their idea aims to raise awareness and encourage sustainable practices, with aspirations to scale it into a transformative environmental tool in the future.

Another engaging segment, Codigo (Python Programming), witnessed enthusiastic participation and intense collaboration. Saion Gupta and Pranshu Murarka from Springdales Public School, Dhaula Kuan, shared how their teamwork and mutual understanding enabled them to solve problems effectively. Inspired by online learning resources, particularly YouTube tutorials, they have developed strong hands-on programming skills.

Meanwhile, Kartik and Manav from Apeejay School, Pitampura, attributed their motivation to the encouragement of parents and friends. Having secured top positions in the preliminary rounds, they approached the competition with confidence, noting that while the initial questions were the most challenging, they were able to navigate the rest with ease.

The judging panel, including Mr Jagpreet Singh, Manager-Principal Engineer, and Ms Mona Nandwani, Lead Software Engineer, Rackspace Technology, acknowledged the competitive nature of the event while encouraging students to believe in their abilities. They emphasised the importance of attempting questions, understanding problems deeply, and executing solutions efficiently. They highlighted that consistent practice, discipline, and perseverance are non-negotiable for mastery. Beyond technical expertise, they noted that programming enhances logical thinking and contributes to overall personal growth, strengthening emotional and mental capabilities alongside analytical reasoning.

The day culminated on a cultural high with a captivating Odissi dance presentation by renowned Padma Shri recipient Geeta Mahalik, organised in collaboration with SPIC MACAY. The graceful performance added a classical touch to the technologically driven day, creating a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation. This was followed by the valedictory ceremony, marking the successful conclusion of the three-day event.

The winners of Echoes of Expression 2026 were announced with great pride. Apeejay School, Pitampura, was awarded the Rolling Trophy for securing the first position, recognised for maximum participation across events and the highest overall score. Apeejay School, Saket, secured the first runner-up, while Venkateshwar Global School was declared the second runner-up.

Overall, these days stood as a fitting culmination of the festival, celebrating innovation, talent, and excellence, while reinforcing the power of ideas to shape a better and more thoughtful future.
