Rajeshwari Kala Utsav celebrates a legacy of compassion and creativity

Apeejay School, Tanda Road, Jalandhar, commemorated the 102nd birth anniversary of respected Shrimati Rajeshwari Paul with reverence, cultural splendour, and heartfelt tributes. The occasion celebrated her enduring values of compassion, humility, service, and excellence, which continue to inspire generations across the Apeejay family.  

The solemn programme began with a floral tribute to Shrimati Rajeshwari Paul followed by a soulful Ganesh Vandana that set a devotional tone for the celebration. Students paid homage to her remarkable life and vision through a thoughtfully presented speech, highlighting her deep commitment to education, culture, and the holistic development of young minds.

The event also featured a melodious folk song, graceful dance performances, and a captivating Sufi dance. Each presentation reflected the rich cultural legacy that Shrimati Rajeshwari Paul, cherished her belief in the transformative power of music, dance, and the arts. The performances created an atmosphere of admiration and gratitude as students expressed their respect through creativity and expression. 

Principal of the school, Dr Rajesh Kumar Chandel, along with Ms Simranjit Kaur, In-charge, members of the staff, and students, paid homage to the revered ‘first lady’ of the Apeejay Stya Group. Addressing the gathering, the Principal shared the inspiring message of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairperson, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group. The message reaffirmed the importance of carrying forward the timeless ideals of compassion, humility, service, and excellence that remain central to the Apeejay ethos.  

Rajeshwari Kala Utsav formed a special part of the commemoration. It served as a meaningful tribute to Smt. Rajeshwari Paul Ji’s love for the performing arts and her enduring vision of nurturing creativity, culture, and talent among students. 

As part of the utsav, the school also organised a vibrant art and craft exhibition. The exhibition showcased students’ remarkable artworks, reflecting their imagination, innovation, aesthetic sensibilities, and passion for artistic expression. It offered young artists a platform to present their ideas and celebrate the joy of creation. 

The celebration stood as a fitting tribute to Shrimati Rajeshwari Paul’s lasting legacy and her belief that education must inspire both intellect and imagination.
